Welcome to my blog!
We all have certain photographs that will stay with us forever, whether it's the ultimate favourite from the family album, the simplest image capturing the emotions of everyday life or even the fabulously romantic black and white image of the The Kiss by Robert Doisneau.
I believe it's the simplicity of a photograph, that moment in time never to be repeated that is as profound as a written personal history and which makes us realise that life is precious and that every day, every moment counts.
Here I not only hope to keep you up to date with occasional news and happenings with my work but also to share with you images that will hopefully inspire and move you in some way......Enjoy!

I had a wonderful trip to New York City at the end of last month and I am only just getting around to editing some images. Before going to the big apple, I landed in New Jersey and spent the next day in Princeton just exploring this fabulous town before meeting up with a dear old friend of mine in the afternoon. We figured out that it had been 11 years since we last saw each other which is just incredible and she still looks exactly the same! We only just scratched the surface really with catching up but she will be visiting the UK next summer when we will be getting together and I have promised to photograph her with her family – can’t wait!
What does this have to do with dreaming in colour I hear you ask. Well, even though it was the end of the Fall season, the colours were still amazing! Here are some images of the foliage which I took. I am a huge fan of B&W photography but this has really inspired me to consider the colours that surround us. I’ll be starting my personal project photographing colour in my everyday life and will be posting my images each week as ‘Colour of the week.’
Keep posted for this and more images of Princeton and NYC.
In the meantime here are my beautiful colours of Fall. I am not sure if I dream in colour or not but I hope I do. Lx.

I had the pleasure of photographing Ella and her friends for her birthday party at Hughenden Manor at the end of October. It was such a beautiful time of year and a glorious day. The colours were wonderfully rich and we had lots of fun playing with the leaves that had cascaded from the trees. I always take individual images of all the girls as well as a selection of group shots. Here are some of my favourite images. Lx

It was a pleasure to photograph Holly and her friends last month at Stoke Park in Berkshire – such a lovely mix of personalities and a great group of friends and a beautiful venue. The girls stayed on for afternoon tea afterwards – perfect! Lx

I had the pleasure of photographing Izzy with her friends for her party at the Harleyford Golf Club in Marlow. It was a wet afternoon with the odd dry interval which we managed to make the most of!

Here are a few more images – I love the vintage feel to this shoot. Lx

Teenagers are a group of youngsters that I love to photograph, we always have a lot of fun and in particular, groups of friends always bring a lot of enthusiasm to the shoot.
My location based Photoshoot Birthday Parties have been a big hit offering something a little bit different for a party idea. Friendships are very important at this age and it’s wonderful to be able to capture them creating lasting memories to look back on.
Here is a copy of my flyer and I will follow on with some of my recent favourites. Lx

Well, it’s that time of year again….. The aga is on and I am wrapping up, slowly adding on additional layers as I stand on the side of the rugby and lacrosse pitches watching my children’s matches most weekends….. I do the Michelin Man look very well!
I am loving the beautiful, fresh, sunny Autumnal days, although sad that they are getting dramatically shorter each day. The beautiful burnt oranges, yellows and reds are deepening and cascading everywhere around us offering one of he most exciting times of year for family shoots. Perfect for getting the wellies and woolies on and going for fun walks in the woods, park, or by the river.
Remember to book your shoot in time for Christmas presents by 13th November as this is the last available shoot date for orders for Christmas! (I only have a couple of dates remaining).
Here’s some inspiration from this fun autumn shoot at the Great Windsor Park.

It has been a while since my last blog, so I have quite a bit of catching up to do and I want to start with a bit of recent news.
Last month I gained my licentiate qualification with the BIPP. This involved putting together and presenting a working profile and having a panel of 20 images assessed by the BIPP judges.
BIPP is the official qualifying body for professional photographers in the UK. World recognised, BIPP qualifications are a benchmark of excellence. Each qualification reflects increasing levels of experience, skill and achievement so it was great to be awarded my licentiateship.
Here is my panel of 20 images

With much of the attention being on the world cup in South Africa these last couple of weeks, I can’t help but think back to the times I have spent in that amazing country. If you have ever spent time in Africa, you will know that it gets under your skin.
It is a place where you fall in love with the earth, with nature, with the human spirit. It is a place on earth where you are humbled by the wonder of our existence.
The last time we visited we spent a week at the end of our stay at a game reserve on the Botswana border with South Africa.
Here are some of the images from this wonderful place on earth where we wake with the dramatic red skies, we smell the dust of the red earth and where we embrace the mysteries of nature…..Lx

Following on from my last post, here’s the challenge…….
Look beyond the obvious and see the beauty in simplicity, see the story in everyday life and the world around us. Embrace your unique perspective, understand your sense of beauty and stop and photograph the things that make you emotional.
Be open….. be curious…. be genuine….we must challenge ourselves and see not only with our eyes but with all that we are.
Lx.
