Wedding Photography – Danesfield House, Buckinghamshire

Tuesday, May 7th, 2013

Photographing Emma and Dave’s wedding at Danesfield house was a real treat for me, not least because I had not photographed a wedding in quite a while… this had been a conscious decision I had made a couple of years ago when I was restructuring my business.

However when Emma and Dave came to see me and asked me to photograph their day I was reminded of what an honour it is to be asked to record that special day for a young couple in love and rather surprisingly I found myself agreeing to be their photographer!

Here are some images from their beautiful day at the end of March at Danesfield House Hotel, the perfect setting for the vintage colours and feel of this wedding. Lx

Corporate Branding Photography

Wednesday, February 27th, 2013

I was recently commissioned by Steve Sowerby, founder of Xpotential to create a unique image of an ‘eye’ to represent the brand of the company and be synonymous with Xpotential.

The brief:

XPotential is a strategic consultancy company based in Marlow working with major clients, categories and geographies. Understanding that brand/s are the most important asset in any business, the XPotential team align individuals, functions and organizations to create and deliver brand equity. As a team of outstanding individuals, they pride themselves on delivering more than is expected of them and going that extra mile. XPotential’s personality and values are perceived by their clients as being friendly, professional, inspiring, innovative, dynamic, open and engaging. The imagery created needed to reflect these values.

The new image is now fully integrated into the company’s branding across all media and publications and with the recent launch of their newly updated web site featuring the ‘eye’ and some corporate portraits that I photographed for them, I thought it was worthy of a mention. Check out the new web site here. Lx

Commercial Photography – business portraits with a difference

Tuesday, February 19th, 2013

Take ‘two Italian men, two different backgrounds, one big idea…..to create great tasting food with a real difference.’

Roberto and Giuseppe are long time friends who have joined together in business to develop and bring to market their  innovative  snack product, Pastinos. ‘Roberto, with the Italian flair in the kitchen, Giuseppe with the business know-how to bring great ideas to life. Both sharing the same passion for food and not just any food, Italian food.’

The brief:

I was approached by Peter Meadows from The Garden Marketing Consultants to photograph a series of B&W images to use for the new web site and marketing materials for the launch of Roberto and Giuseppe’s new pasta snack.

The aim was to capture images of the two business partners taken in an informal setting within the kitchen of a private home. The images of the two friends needed to be relaxed and non posed taken whilst they are interacting with each other, having fun and just being themselves in order to capture the spirit of their friendship and working relationship.

Autumn Family Portraits, Marlow, Buckinghamshire

Monday, October 15th, 2012

It’s that time of year again, the aga is on, the boots and scarves are out and we have had our first frost! I love this season for it’s rich colours and gloriuos bright crisp days – perfect for getting wrapped up and going on long family walks with the dog followed by cosying up in front of a roaring log fire with a hot chocolate and muffins.

The backdrop of the fabulous golden and scarlet hues along with the pretty light at this time of year makes this a popular time for family portrait sessions too. If you would like to book your session, my calendar generally fills 4-6 weeks in advance so kindly contact me to secure your preferred date (I only have a few remaining sessions during half term!).

Why not treat your family with some gift vouchers for the perfect Christmas gift. Either contact me directly or alternatively vouchers can be purchased securely online via my website. Lx

London Fashion Weekend

Saturday, September 29th, 2012

Last Saturday I was invited by Canon to take part in photographing the London Fashion Week, one of the world’s highest profile fashion designer showcases.

Being a long time user of Canon photographic equipment and a member of their Canon Professional Services, I was very excited to be invited to experience this prestigious event which is held at Somerset House in the heart of London and is organised by the British Fashion Council.

It was a great opportunity to experience standing in the photographers pit and to photograph some of the catwalk shows.

Here are some images from the trend fashion shows and a wonderful collection from Alice by Temperley which were introduced by Carloline Flack.

A thoroughly enjoyable time – thanks Canon! Lx

Commercial Photography

Thursday, September 27th, 2012

Over the last 18 months I have been working closely with Heni Fourie, Sales and  Marketing manager at The Lane End Conference Centre to build a library of images for them to use for their new web site and marketing publications.

A variety of photographic projects including an art installation of commissioned photographic works, interior and exterior shots, food photography and team photos have resulted in a comprehensive portfolio of images that Heni now has at his fingertips for various marketing projects and campaigns. The centre has recently undergone a series of refurbishments and the latest set of images were taken of the newly refurbished Wycombe Court building featuring it’s new bistro style restaurant and al fresco dining deck area.

Check out their new web site featuring my images here and their latest newsletter here.

If you are needing a updated portfolio for your business either to launch a new marketing campaign or to refresh and update your web site, then please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

A few weeks ago on my way home from a shoot, I called in for a coffee at the recently opened Strawberry Grove in Lane End.

Strawberry Grove Fine Foods Co. are purveyors of exceptional in season and artisan produce, sourcing their fresh daily groceries from the very best local farms and specialist suppliers. Offering a variety of interesting rarer larder goods, they also sell homemade cakes, fresh breads and vegan and gluten free foods.

This is exactly what every village needs, a warm and welcoming place to relax and chat over coffee or lunch set within a wonderful treasure trove of foodie delights.

Looking forward to dropping in again soon. Lx

Teenage Photography, Marlow and Henley-on-Thames

Sunday, May 6th, 2012

Where do I start to describe this beautiful young girl, Natalya!

I had photographed Natty two years earlier aged 12 years old and so when her mum asked me to photograph her again I was really excited. She is one of the easiest kids to work with, completely comfortable and really natural in front of the camera. This time Natty wanted some images to begin  her model portfolio and so we headed off to Marlow and then ended up by the river in Henley. I’m sure that you will agree that at just age 14, she is destined for a great modelling career! Good luck, Natty. Lx

Coffee Time! – Commercial Photography Buckinghamshire

Saturday, May 5th, 2012

Here’s an update from a previous blog posting involving a commercial art project at the Lane End Conference Centre which is nestled in the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire.

As an absolute coffee addict myself …..yep I have to start each day with my huge french cup  aka ‘a bucket’ of coffee and so I particularly enjoyed creating these images for the coffee lounge area.

More images from this project to come! Lx

Teenage Photoshoot Party in Amersham, Buckinghamshire

Saturday, May 5th, 2012

I found  myself with a very rare but welcome ‘quiet’ period a couple of weeks ago which gave me time to catch up a little on my backlog of photography which I have not had the chance to organise and post on my blog. Here is the first of a number which I hope to update you with this long weekend.

Love these images from Isobel’s birthday party in Amersham a couple of weeks ago. This young lady turned eleven and had a wonderful group of friends round for her party. Much fun was had by all, it was a pleasure to be able to capture some great images of the friends together and to meet Issy and her lovely family.

A few kind words from Issy’s parents:

Dear Lily,
Just wanted to say how amazed and delighted we all were at the photos – they are brilliant!  Thanks so much again – you really made Issy’s party special.

The balloons were an addition to the shoot from the party shop above Choco-Latte coffee shop in Marlow adding a colourful dimension on an otherwise dull and very cold (although luckily not wet) April day.

I love the images of the girls with the balloons….they are sooooo Miss Dior Cherie! Lx
